Tips for Playing Against Illaoi

-If you don't default ghost, I'd at least take it in this matchup! Very useful for dodging tentacles, which not only do damage but heal her too.
-Watch for free tentacle maintanence early, but make sure you don't get hit by E! Sometimes you can bait it.
-Sometimes you can straight up W onto her when you're both level 6 near your tower, as you can eat her while her ult is going off. Eating her to take her away from your spirit is nice too.
-If she ults while your W is up, you can just W out and then she wasted ult!
-Sometimes you can bait her into ulting if you throw W into a bush or wall, especially if she's low and can't afford to be knocked up.

Swiftness Boots

Swifties is great for dodging tentacle slams and her E! I would always take this in this matchup honestly, and if you want you could probably even rush it.
Oblivion Orb

Oblivion Orb is great, especially if you pair it with ghost. You can dodge most of her tentacles, and if she does hit a couple she won't heal as much from it vs orb. Plus you'll do more damage to her! Bramble's probably fine but... why settle for less? #bramblehater
Dead Man's Plate

Dead Man's is great for the same reason as swifties, along with it giving health and a bit of armor if needed. You can probably get away with just going Heartsteel though if you're a head and/or there's a lot of nice squishies to pop!
